View Boat Trailer SeriesBroward Trailer Company Incorporated
Manufacturer of custom welded boat trailers, gooseneck trailers, transport trailers and yard trailers for boat owners, marine professionals and fleet operators. Every unit is built to the hull it carries, with hull laser scanning technology used for precise bunk fitting.
Boat Trailers
Steel and aluminum tag hitch models, fifth wheel and drop deck units, and gooseneck configurations for high-performance boats. Series include BST (steel tag hitch), BAT (aluminum tag hitch), BSF and BSG (steel fifth wheel / drop deck and gooseneck) and BCG (aluminum main frame with steel gooseneck).
Transport Trailers
Auto and boat transport trailers in 48' and 53' lengths — TABT, TBT, TABG and TBG series, plus tagalong and gooseneck transports. Main frame rails and cross members are constructed of tube steel for maximum strength, with a tie-down rail along the length of the main frame rails and a belly rail for added strength. Accu-Lube bearings, slipper type leaf springs, electric drum brakes and optional hydraulic disc brakes are available, along with optional aluminum fenders and wheels.
Yard Trailers & Storage Cradles
Storage cradles and yard trailers built for specific vessel dimensions and weights — for example the SC25-24C storage cradle for a Freeman 42 catamaran, 25' overall length, 24,000 GVWR.

Custom boat trailers are built around the exact hull they are meant to carry, so the frame, bunks, axles and fenders are matched to a vessel rather than forced into a generic shape. This is where laser scanning technology comes in: a scan of the hull produces a precise profile that guides fabrication. The result is a trailer that supports the boat evenly, tracks predictably down the road and requires fewer adjustments over time, which matters greatly to owners who tow long distances to launch ramps and marinas.
Beyond recreational boat owners, the same engineering discipline applies to marine professionals and fleet operators who depend on trailers as working equipment. A transport trailer used to move a hull from a yard to a storage slip or a service dock is judged on durability, on how easily it couples and uncouples, and on how well it holds weight over repeated cycles. Yard trailers, gooseneck configurations and heavy-duty axles all extend that capability into larger commercial ranges where downtime is expensive.
Trailer dimensions and capacity are the two numbers a buyer should understand first. Length, overall width, tongue weight and the combined weight of the vessel plus gear determine everything from axle count to brake requirements. When a build is quoted, the useful information is simple: the vessel's dimensions, its weight and its hull configuration. Supplying those three details allows a review of the intended build, the fittings required and the options worth discussing before any fabrication begins.
The fabrication approach is described as custom welded construction. Rather than bolting together a collection of pre-cut parts, each frame is welded as a single structural unit so that joints behave as one continuous member under load. Welding also allows unusual geometry, extra bracing or unusual hull shapes to be handled directly, which is essential when the trailer serves a vessel that does not fit a standard mass-produced pattern. It also simplifies maintenance, because there are fewer loose fasteners to inspect and retighten.
Photographs of finished trailer series give buyers a clearer sense of proportion and finish than a specification sheet alone can provide. Looking at how bunks sit beneath a hull, how the frame steps up at the bow, how fenders and lighting are placed, and how the paint and trim are handled answers practical questions quickly. Browsing a photo series is also a good way to recognize build quality, because consistent details across different projects are easy to spot.
A quote request is best framed with vessel dimensions, weight and hull configuration, since those inputs drive nearly every decision that follows. From there a build review can confirm the configuration, flag anything that could affect towing stability and note options for gear, storage or towing accessories. Presenting the information in a structured way shortens the conversation, reduces back-and-forth and lets the discussion move to the questions that genuinely require attention.
Towing safety is quietly determined by details that most buyers never see. Weight distribution between the trailer's axles and the coupler, tire ratings matched to actual load, brake wiring that remains reliable in wet salt air, and lighting that stays visible in low light all contribute to how confidently a trailer can be towed. Trailers built for the sea are used in environments where corrosion is constant, so protective finishes and sealed electrical connections are not extras but necessities.
For anyone searching for information about trailer requirements, the relevant regulatory picture includes registration rules, lighting and brake standards, and towing capacity limits for the towing vehicle. Boat trailer education and driver training materials are often overlooked until the first problem appears. Learning the basics early — how to inspect a trailer, how to read a tire rating, how to check coupler and safety chain condition — turns maintenance into a routine rather than an emergency repair.
The contact and privacy pages on this site exist so that questions can be asked directly and answered clearly, whether the inquiry concerns a specific build, a series of finished examples or general guidance about matching a vessel to a trailer. Direct conversation is the most efficient route to a useful answer, particularly when measurements and photographs of the hull can be provided. Clear policies on how submitted information is handled add a layer of confidence to sharing the details a build review requires.
